Alexander Daniels are working in partnership with a growing business in Moreton in Marsh who are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger Clerk who has the eagerness and enthusiam to develop quickly into an Accounts Assistant to support the Finance Manager in a broad, all round accounting role.

Key responsibilities

Purchase Ledger:

  • Coding invoices
  • Getting invoices approved
  • Entering Purchase invoices
  • Reconciling Supplier statements
  • Reconciling aged creditors, ensuring all supplier terms are maintained and followed
  • Scanning/filing claims and invoices
  • Managing debit balances and direct debit accounts
  • Payment runs
  • Expense claims
  • Petty cash claims and reconciliation
  • Ensuring all owner recharge costs are calculated correctly
  • Processing guest refunds and claims and making payments

Month end

  • Checking client booking detail as required
  • Inter company account reconciliations
  • VAT coding checks
  • Raising sales invoices

Other duties

  • Dealing with all purchase ledger queries
  • Managing the purchase ledger inboxes
  • Helping process change

As time progresses the plan is for the Assistant Accountant to relinquish some work to this candidate, including but not limited to; owner queries, sales ledger reconciliations, bank reconciliations
