Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Finance Assistant for a progressive and permanent role on behalf of a leading service business based in the heart of Walsall. Working as part of a small and supportive team, you will be responsible for the smooth operation of financial transactions, ensuring that they are kept accurate and up to date on a daily basis.
- High-volume sales invoicing
- Cash allocation
- Credit control
- Inputting purchase invoices
- Processing supplier payment runs
- Liaising with external suppliers
- Reconciling and maintaining clean ledgers
- Producing reports for management and other departments on an adhoc basis
- Other general finance administration as required
The ideal candidate will be AAT level 2 as a minimum and have experience working within a busy finance department. You must have a good level of understanding and ability using finance systems and Excel (including pivot tables & VLOOKUPs) and a good eye for detail. Knowledge of Xero accounting software would be desirable but by no means essential.
