Ledger Supervisor required for an exciting permanent opportunity working for a well-established manufacturing business in Wolverhampton. Reporting into the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the purchase and sales ledger transactions for 2 x sites, and your daily duties will include:
Overseeing a small team ensuring that transactions are processed accurately and on time
Processing payments to suppliers
Ensuring monthly targets are met with variance reporting.
Dealing with queries, escalating to management where necessary ensuring appropriate and timely resolution.
Presenting and reporting on the ledgers to the Senior Management Team.
Looking at efficiencies and making recommendations for improvement where appropriate and taking steps to drive change.
Providing adhoc reporting where necessary.
Supporting the wider finance function and supporting the Managers.
The ideal candidate will be AAT qualified (or studying towards or equivalent) and have previous experience managing sales and purchase ledgers in a busy, fast-paced finance department, ideally within a manufacturing business. Strong verbal and written communication is essential and you must feel confident in delegating and dealing with various stakeholders.
