Alexander Daniels are currently recruiting for a Payroll Manager on behalf of a renowned accountancy practice based in Cannock on a full-time, permanent basis. This growing accountancy practice are looking for someone who is happy to work in a small, yet well-established payroll department in a role where you can grow and develop. You must have a passion for payroll and be looking to assume high levels of responsibility early on.
This role will see you gain exposure to a wide variety of clients. Managing a team of 3, you will be expected to hit the ground running and be able to work on your own initiative. Your role will include carrying out payrolls from start to finish, liaising with clients, being responsible for the full payroll cycle, providing technical support in dealing with client queries, reconciliations, RTI, auto enrolment, making 3rd party payments as well as ad hoc assignments and promoting the department.
This role would suit someone CIPP qualified (or equivalent) who is either an established Payroll Manager or a Payroll Senior looking to step up to Manager level, ideally from an accountancy practice or payroll bureau background with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in payroll. You must have a wide variety of systems experience including Sage, Quickbooks and Xero ideally.
