Senior Finance Business Partner required for a leading group based near Birmingham. This is an exciting commercial opportunity for someone looking for a role with plenty of business-facing action, commercial financial modelling and strategic decision-making with operations.

As the Senior Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:

  • Ownership of financial provisions for the marketing division, running investment appraisal analyses for new spending on campaigns
  • Acting as the dedicated financial business partner for the marketing team and Marketing Director
  • Direct line management of two qualified business partners and a part-qualified finance analyst
  • Recruitment and appraisals for new financial staff within the division as the department grows
  • Full ownership of FP&A activities, including cash flow analysis, reforecasting and annual budgeting for the marketing division
  • Weekly flash reporting for your division, and monthly management information packs for review with the divisional directors
  • Quarterly reviews of marketing budget and expenditure, and performance analysis on marketing campaigns
  • Supporting the commercial finance function with contracts and pricing analysis/modelling, understanding competitors’ actions and enacting decisions in response
  • Influencing the marketing and commercial teams’ actions through thorough risk analysis
  • Critical review of cost  and identifying cost-saving opportunities for the marketing division
  • Commercial review and support for areas including brand loyalty, customer segmentation and regional performance
  • Supporting ad hoc projects implemented in the division in the coming months and years

The ideal candidate will be qualified (ACA, CA, ACCA or ACMA) with senior business partnering experience. You do not need to have distribution / wholesale / retail experience specifically, but should have a large company background, be able to cope in a fast-paced environment, and it would be advantageous to have experience business partnering commercial teams (sales and marketing). You will need good people management skills for this role, as you’ll be managing a fairly new team who will require some development.
